The Golden Rules of Clay Care

The "Last On, First Off" Rule: Always put your jewelry on after applying hairspray, perfume, lotion, or makeup. The chemicals in these products can interact with the clay or its protective glaze, causing discoloration or dullness.
Keep it Dry: While polymer clay itself is water-resistant, it isn't waterproof. Remove your jewelry before showering, swimming, or working out. Prolonged water exposure can weaken the jewelry glue or tarnish the metal findings.
Handle with Love: Polymer clay has a natural flexibility to it, but please don't test its limits! Bending, twisting, or dropping your earrings can cause them to snap or weaken over time.
Store Safely: When you aren't rocking your pieces, store them in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. A jewelry pouch, box, or a dedicated hanging rack is perfect. Avoid tossing them into a cluttered bag where keys or other hard objects can scratch the surface.

How to Clean Your Jewelry

Life happens, and sometimes your jewelry might get a little makeup smudge or dirt on it. Don't worry—cleaning it is incredibly easy.

If it has...	Do this...
Makeup or light dirt	Take a cotton swab dipped in a tiny bit of water or rubbing alcohol and gently wipe the surface. (Note: If your piece features painted details, gold leaf, or varnish, skip the alcohol and stick to a damp cloth!)
Dust or lint	A lint roller or a piece of sticky tape pressed gently onto the clay works like magic.
Tarnished metal parts	Use a soft microfiber jewelry polishing cloth on the metal findings only. Keep the cloth away from the clay itself.
